Elf on the Shelf

Guess what came to Jayden's house??



The silly elf showed up at our house!




We are still working on a name for our new little friend, but we will have one soon. Hooray for new traditions!

Update: Jayden decied our elf would be named Woody (due to his recent Toy Story obsession). Don't worry--he didn't loose his magical powers. Jayden touched him before we read the book. All is good and well at the North Pole.

Festival of Trees 2012

We headed to the Festival of Trees this past weekend to meet Santa. Jayden said no to Santa, but the girls didn't have a choice!


Amelia wasn't sure at first, but decided it would be ok.



We took a little train ride and everyone enjoyed it!







We will definitely go back next year!!

Mall Choo Choo

We had to get out of the house yesterday and decided that a trip to the mall to ride the train would be perfect.



$6 later we had a very happy boy and a happy dad :) (ok--maybe the little boy was way more excited than the big boy).



The rode in the little yellow train around the mall. It was pretty exciting!

We are getting ready for Christmas! Not nearly as many pretty decorations out as in the past. Just a tree and 3 little stockings.

Happy Halloween

It was a crazy week last week! I spent my extra time creating the girls' outfits for Halloween. I didn't want them in a giant stuffed suit that would be a pain getting in and out of the car. It would have been really cute to have a couple of ladybugs or little bumblebees, but I didn't want to fight that this year.

 

 On Tuesday, we headed to Jayden's Halloween party at school. The girls were decked out in their Halloween outfits from Nana. Getting a picture was impossible.

 Mr. Difficulty would not wear a costume (fireman or Ghostbusters), so we settled for Michael Jordan or Michael Jayden as I called him.

On Halloween, BOO and HOO were ready to go!

 

Now I have one year to think about what we will be next year. Thing 1 and Thing 2 pictures were all over the twin pages I belong to, so that is out. Maybe we can convince Jayden to team up with the girls next year! 

Perfect 10 Months OLD!!

Our sweet babies are TEN months old!! How fast did that go?

1. Adalyn and Amelia are FINALLY growing! I think they are up to 14 and 15 pounds and maybe even more! They head to the doctor in a few weeks for their 9 month appointment (a month late).
2. We started to move to 9 month clothing although it is still a bit too big. They are getting so long, that soon enough, 12 month clothes will be popping up! They are in size 2 diapers and may be moving to 3 very soon. They love their big girl car seats too.
3. They love to crawl EVERYWHERE and fast! They have both stood on their own for over 10 seconds. YIKES! They love to open cabinet, drawers and everything they can get their hands on.
4. Jayden is the coolest thing ever, still. They love him. He has been caught pushing them down and then saying, "Aww. She is crying, mom." They are fans of their wubbies too. Two are broken and one was lost at the zoo, so we are down to ONE.
5. They are moving on up with formula too. Most bottles are 6 ounces with some even topping 8! I found the sippy cup that works best for them and they are actually really cute ones too! I am looking forward to formula being off of our grocery bill very soon.
6. Food wise, they are still eating baby food. They love pancakes and yogurt for breakfast, fruit and veggie for lunch, puffs, baby Cheetos and for dinner, they nibble on a variety of foods.
7.Still, no teeth!
8. They have a new baby bath tub. They both fit right in and splash all around. It is so cute!
9. Finally, they have started to sleep through the night. The last few nights Amelia has been awake, but hopefully that won't last long. They wake for the day at 5:30 and spend an hour with their daddy before he heads to work. They nap a few times during the day and head to bed at 7:30/8:00 for the night!
10. We love you to the moon and back sweet babies.

Preschool Visit

I was able to take a 1/2 personal day this week to visit Jayden's school!

 He was happy, singing and dancing and then he saw his momma and got SHY!!

 Sisters came to visit too! They were not shy!

The Deer 2012

Acree has another one to hang on the (garage) wall! After a long night of hunting, this is what he returned with at 11:00 at night.

 

This little guy was already in bed and fast asleep.

 

So of course, I spent my time digging and digging because I KNEW I had girl camo clothes somewhere!

 The pink bows and pink boots made this outfit look ok.

 After the girls went to sleep, the three of us, along with Wego adventured out for some pictures.

Then, of course, when the girls woke up it was their turn!
