Goodness. It has been a LONG time since I have blogged. I am guessing that working full time, juggling three kids nearly on my own while Aaron builds a house and trying to keep up with life has tied me down.
However, birthdays are important. Very important.
Tonight, at 11:10 and 11:11 p.m. our little babies officially become three year olds! How three years has passed since the night they were born is unreal.
Dear Adalyn & Amelia-
Happy 3rd Birthday!! Three years has went by in a blink of an eye, but some of the days took longer than others! Over the last year, you have challenged us, made us laugh, made us cry, been the center of attention and most of all you have grown into little "preschoolers"!
Both of your love to draw, practice your letters, numbers and sing songs! Amelia, you are obsessed with the music on your ipad and Adalyn--you put up with it! There have been several times over the year where I find little smiley faces drawn on my wall--or the couch. That's your Adalyn! When I tell you that isn't a good choice--your feelings get hurt. Amelia, when we tell you to turn down the music, you say no and go about your day. This is the exact reason you both got headphones for your birthday!
When you were 2 1/2 we traveled down to cousin Amy's wedding in Georgia. You did very well considering how long it took us! Thank goodness we cut a few hours off the drive by staying at the lake house for a week! This summer you had a blast at the lake and loved the tube! We spent a lot of time at the waterpark as well. Poor Adalyn, you fell and got a little scar on your face. Sorry.
We also spent a lot of time watching Daddy build the new house. It is "Daddy's House" as everyone calls it. We have missed having daddy around, but at least we know he isn't far and his hard work is for all of us. I am sure when the house is done, we will have more time to play!
Playing and talking are things you are awesome at too. You both can hold a conversation with anyone. Know more words that I ever thought a 2-3 year old would know and ask questions. I am so happy you love when we read you books and finally, finally you girls play together.
This year was your GOLDEN birthday and we celebrated with everything gold and pink! It was lovely! You loved being sang to. Loved the treats. Loved the games, the people, the presents. Every single bit of it.
We love you more than you will ever know!
