New Outfit

Great Grandma and Grandpa Acree bought Jayden this cute little outfit and gave it to us when he was 3 weeks old. He looks like a cute little man in his little outfit! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Acree!

Future Golden Aces Football Player??

Recently, Jayden received some hand-me-downs from the Acree family in MTC. We had to put him in the Golden Aces outfit right away along with his football shoes. Maybe someday he will make it down to the Snake Pit to see his first Mt. Carmel football game. Daddy would sure like to see his boy play ball down there some day. I guess only time will tell!

Jayden Can Write...

Last week, Jayden bought his Nana a card for her birthday. Of course, he had to sign in! He scribbled all over-it was so cute!

Jayden and the Twins

Jayden goes to the babysitter with his cousins Emlyn and Ellee twice a week. They love him and he loves them! When he arrives on Wednesday and Friday mornings, the girls can't wait for him to get out of his carseat. Sometimes they fight over who gets to sit in his seat once he is out. The twins are one year and one day older than baby Jayden. It is going to be a lot of fun in a few years!

11 Weeks Old

Little munchie (that is what I call him) is getting big! Today we went to the park for a picture party. Of course, it happened right in the middle of his nap time so he wasn't so happy. However, when we got home he was all smiles. I sat him down on the front porch and started taking pictures. He didn't mind at all!

James and Kristen's Wedding

On October 3, we headed up to northern Indiana for James and Kristen's wedding. We had a great time and everything was beautiful. James and Kristen both looked stunning. It was great to visit with all of our high school friends as well. We sure did miss Jayden while we were gone!

Little Prince

Last week, Great Grandma and Grandpa Acree stopped by for a visit. They have not seen Jayden since he was 3 weeks old. He has changed a lot since the last time they saw him! Jayden enjoyed snuggling with his great grandma! Soon, he will be able to fit into the new jammies she bought for him. Here is a picture of him in the toy she bought for him before he was born. He loves all of the lights and the ABC song.

Out at the Farm

Deer season is creeping up on us. Bow season offically begins this weekend. What does that mean for me? Aaron gone all of the time out looking for the perfect deer to mount in his "man room". Maybe he will get lucky this year like he did a few years ago. While he was out practicing, I took a few pictures of Jayden. Only a few more years until Jayden will be out there practicing with his bow and arrow!

2 Month Checkup

On 9-24-09 Jayden went to the doctor for his 2 month checkup. He weighs 12 lbs 5 oz and is 24 inches long! He sure is growing. While we were there he had to get 4 shots, two in each leg. Poor baby! He cried, but as soon as I held him, he was fine. I had tears in my eyes too. It was really sad to see him so helpless! Next appointment is December 3. Here is his picture from when we got home from the doctor.

The Nap Nanny

For the last few weeks, Jayden has had a stuffy nose. Even though it was his first, I am sure it won't be the last! We had been propping his bed up and night, but he kept sliding down to the end. As we were looking through a magazine one day, we saw an ad for the Nap Nanny. You can see it at http://www.napnanny.com/ I didn't buy it from that site. I found a different place with free shipping!

It is a little sleeper that is at a 30 degree angle and is kind of shaped like a car seat. I kept reading about it and decided to buy it. It is suppose to help with all different sorts of problems. When it came in the mail, it was Jayden's nap time. He slept soundly for 2 hrs. The first night we tried it, he woke up for a nighttime feeding, but when I put him back to bed, he snuggled right up and went to sleep. I didn't have to bring him to bed with me or keep going back to his room every 10 minutes. Hopefully, he will continue to enjoy his little nap nanny--if not maybe the next baby will 10 years from now!

House #5

Well, we did it again. Less than a year has passed since we bought house #4 and now we are proud owners of house #5. I know, we are crazy. We will NOT be living in this one! Last week, I went to an auction and bought this beauty to become our first rental property. You know how Aaron gets when he sees a junky house, he just has to have it! Hopefully, this house will not take him to long to flip.
The ugly kitchen. On the plus--it has kitchen cabinets. They are going to need A LOT of bleach to get clean!

The nasty living room. The carpet is already been pulled up. From what I hear these people had a lot of cats. YUCK!
I will post when the product is finished but now you know what will consume us in our "spare time". I mean we both only have full time jobs, a new baby, football season, hunting season, shopping trips, UIS classes, and family to fill our time as it is. Oh well, it's better than having nothing to do, right?

Football Season is Here

Jayden went to his first Tornadoes game over the weekend and they won! He also got new jammies so that means a photo shoot with Mom!

Funny little man!

Illinois State Fair 2009

On August 23, Jayden and I headed to Springfield to the Illinois State Fair. Uncle Mike was in a weight lifting competition and I had never been so I thought it would be interesting to see. Well, in fact, it was! Uncle Mike won his group. He benched 575 lbs. So I guess when we need something big moved, we know who to call! Congrats, Uncle Mike!! After that, we headed to the rides to watch Reagan, Adan, and Livia show off their braveness.

Jayden did not really watch too much of the weight lifting or the kids riding the rides. He pretty much spend the day sleeping. I guess that is what you do when you are one month old!

Jayden's Little Friends

Jayden has had some visitors in the past few weeks. Below is a picture of Jayden and Lauren. Lauren is a little bit older than Jayden, she was born in May. She is such a doll!

Here is a picture of Jayden and Kenlee. Kenlee is only 3 days younger than Jayden. They were really close in size when they were born. It is going to be fun to watch them grow! We can't wait to see them again. Kenlee is so cute!

4 weeks old!

Baby Jayden went to the doctor for his 1 month checkup. He weighs 10 lbs. 1 oz. and is 21 3/4 inches long. Our little baby is getting big fast! Almost all of his newborn clothes are packed up and he is on to 3 month jammies and clothes! He is looking more like a little man each day!

Our Trip to Mt. Carmel

On August 15 we headed down to Mt. Carmel to visit Aaron's family. Everyone loved Jayden and he was a really good baby. He got spoiled with a lot of kisses and gifts! Jayden slept the three hours down and only cried a few times on the way home. Here is a picture of the four generations of Acree's.

Baby Jayden is 3 weeks old!

Baby Jayden is 3 weeks old! The past three weeks have flown by so fast and I am sure it will continue. Jayden got new jammies from his Papa and they were too cute so I had to have a photo shoot with him! Poor kid is doomed for the rest of his life when I have a camera in my hand! Jayden just chillin in his bouncy seat from Aunt Kim, Uncle John and the boys!
He is already a Cubs fan...he doesn't know it yet, but he doesn't have a choice!

Newborn Pictures

Last week, Jayden had his newborn pictures taken. My cousin Amy bought us a newborn package with a local photographer, Kim Jones. Kim came to our house and caught a few good pictures of Jayden. You can see them at: www.photographybykimjones.com and then click on Photo Galleries, Your Proofs, Jayden.

After she left he was sleeping so I placed him on the laundry basket in our bathroom and caught this snapshot of him. I did a little editing to it afterwards. Wal-Mart made me sign a copywrite release and show them the picture on my camera because they thought I copied it!

My Sweet Baby Boy

Jayden loves to be held, snuggle, and loves to sleep! Here are just a few pictures of his daily life!

Isn't this the truth!

Jayden's First Dr. Appt

When Jayden was a week old he went to his first doctor appointment in Springfield. He weighed 8 lbs 10 oz and Dr. Murray said he is perfect! We go back when he is 4 weeks old for a well baby check. After the doctor we headed to Babies R Us and the mall. Jayden did so great on his first outing!
This is us before we left for our first trip to Springfield! He was a good car rider--thank gosh!
