Jayden's 2nd First Christmas

Tonight we celebrated our family Christmas since we will be out of town on Christmas morning. Jayden enjoyed opening the gifts again, so hopefully he will still be thrilled with paper ripping the next few days. Daddy and Jayden opened up Jayden's first set of tools.

In his stocking was a little hat that said "Daddy's Little Hunting Buddy".

5 Months Old

Jayden is 5 months old today! Time is sure going fast!

Today we went and visited with Kara and Lisa along with their little babies. Bryce was born on October 31st and Kenlee was born on July 26th. It was great to see everyone.

Do You Want A Cookie??

We bought some rice cookies for Jayden the last time we went to the store. We thought he should try one on Sunday night. At first, he wasn't too excited about it, but then he couldn't stop. We would ask him, "Do you want a cookie?" and he thought it was the funniest thing in the world!

Church with Nanny

This weekend Jayden made his first appearance at Nanny's church. He was such a good boy and I only had to get up and walk with him once. Nanny and Poppa with Reagan, Livia, Adan, Jayden, Emlyn, and Lilly. It was pretty hard to get a pic with them. I tried.

Jayden's 1st First Christmas

Over the weekend, we celebrated Christmas with my Dad, Marcy, Jordan, and Madeline. Jayden did a good job tearing at the wrapping paper. It was pretty cute! We made a list but Santa didn't bring us what we asked for (camera & hunting gear) but something even better--a new TV!! We were SURPRISED to say the least. Thanks Dad and Marcy!

We have been waiting for Jayden to meet Santa for a few weeks now. It was so much fun! I really want to take him again. Santa seemed more afraid of Jayden than Jayden was of Santa! He wasn't sure of how to hold a little man like Jayden!

Our Christmas self-portrait. We were suppose to have a family picture taken last weekend for our Christmas cards, but since Jayden was sick we had to cancel. Camera timers are wonderful. Jayden was able to wear his new Polo sweater vest from his Poppa and black pants from his Grandma Nieves. He sure looks like a big boy in this picture!

Jayden loves to play with his spit! Tonight he was feeling a little better and provided us with some cheap entertainment!

A Few X-mas Pics

Over the weekend, we were suppose to get pictures for our Christmas card taken. It was the last possible date and time--but we had to cancel. Jayden was just too sick to go and have pictures taken. So, when he started to feel a little better, I put the Santa hat on and snapped a few shots. He didn't mind getting his picture taken--he just wasn't in the mood to smile. That's ok. Maybe next time!

Sick Little Baby

Here is a picture of Jayden after he got his blood drawn the first time. Poor baby! You can see how red his little skin is from being so warm. Darn temperature! Hopefully, the little guy will be better soon and we don't have to make any more doctor visits until he is 6 months old!

What a Weekend!

Over the weekend, we had to give a lot of extra attention and love to baby Jayden due to his high fever. He wanted to be held all hours of the day and didn't want to even be put down to sleep. I did enjoy the cuddle time, but I hated that he was sick. He couldn't knock his fever until Sunday afternoon. At the highest, he reached 103. It was very scary and sad to see him looking so sick and helpless. Although the fever is gone, he still is sick. Stuffy nose and sore throat are the two remaining symptoms. Poor baby has a raspy voice when he "talks" to us. We sure hope he gets better soon and we also hope he takes a bottle! This is another battle we have had since he started feeling sick.

Jayden 4 months

Jayden went for his 4 month check this week. He hasn't been feeling good all week or eating during the day. He will only nurse, so we thought that he may have an ear infection. Dr. Murray checked him out and said he looked perfect. She also informed us that a temperature of 99 or 100 is not really a temperature and we should give Jayden tylenol for it. She also told us that it is his bodies way of fighting of some bacteria. We hope he gets better soon!

Jayden now weighs 14 lbs 10 oz and is 25 1/2 inches long. His weight is in the 48% percentile while his height is in the 75% percentile. Baby J is growing and growing fast!

The Acree Boys Babysit

The boys spent some time hanging out over the weekend as well. Aaron on the couch, Jayden in the jumper, and Adam in the chair. Whatever works, right?

A Long Ride in the Car

Jayden and his new blankie from Nana's house. Looks like we will be buying some just like it very soon. How to survive a 3 hr car ride when you are 4 months old? A dvd and Mommy in the backseat the whole time.

Finally, after a very long weekend in the car and visiting, Jayden decides to fall asleep!

Jayden's 1st Thanksgiving

Jayden celebrated his first Thanksgiving in Mt. Carmel this year. We traveled to both sets of grandparents while we were there. Jayden was PERFECT on Thanksgiving. He put on a show with laughs, kicks, screams, and smiles. Everyone fell in love with him! It was also a nice weekend because I had no class, which meant I was able to spend a little more time with my baby without the distraction of housework and homework. We also were able to spend some time with Aaron! He did not have the distraction of construction work or deer hunting like he usually does on the weekends. We enjoyed our time as a family!

Jayden meets Lia and Alex

On Wednesday, before we left for the weekend, we had a chance to visit with Marcy's sister Suzy and her family. Suzy and Steve live in Canada and have two adorable little children, Lia and Alex. Lia will be 3 in December and Alex was born this October. We can't wait to visit with them again. Alex and Jayden visiting with each other!

This year for Thanksgiving, we will be heading down to Mt. Carmel. Jayden is all ready to go with his 1st Thanksgiving outfits and new jammies. He won't be eating turkey this year, but I bet he would love to! We hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving and safe holiday weekend!

Jayden is 4 months old!

Today is Jayden's 4 month birthday! He goes to the doctor in 2 weeks for his 4 month shots and check up. I am guessing he is going to weigh close to 15 lbs and be 25 inches long. I guess we will find out in a few weeks. Today when I took Jayden to my Dad's house, they had a Christmas blanket for him. He loved it and then decided to take a little nap with it this evening.

Fun time with Friends

This weekend we finally had a chance to catch up and hang out with our Tville friends. It seems that all of us have been busy with something every weekend. We enjoyed our night with Partick & Meredith, Sarah & Tyson, and Jason & Kristy. Cute little Jayden and cute little Henry got to hang out as well. Soon enough, another little man will be hanging out with us too! Can't wait for another date night with our friends! Tyson and Aaron wore Patrick's Illini Santa hats outside while they sat around the fire. The boys had a good time hanging out together while the girls sat inside talked and watched two cute little babies!

On Tuesday, Madeline was out of school for Parent-Teacher conferences and it was Jayden's day out at Dad's house. Madeline was in heaven because Jayden was at her house all day. She just cannot get enough of him. She loves him so much! When he wouldn't go down for a nap, she decided that she would just hold him and he would fall asleep. Well-they both fell asleep! Good job Aunt May!

Jayden's Highchair

We opened up Jayden's highchair last week and tested it out. He really doesn't mind it. I am able to get a lot more done in the kitchen because he will sit and watch. We also tried to see how he would like some bananas. He didn't, so we will just try when he is about 3 months older. It was pretty funny!

Jayden's Walker

Jayden got a new toy a few weeks ago. He has now grown enough to reach the floor. He moves and little bit when we put him in the walker. It is a sight to see!

Adan and Livia turn 4

Adan and Livia turned 4 on November 5th. They had their party this past weekend. Aunt Lori went to the resuce and bought some "bad guys" at the store after Adan stormed off because he did not want clothes. He wanted "bad guys".

Sarah's Getting Married!!

On October 31, my best friend Sarah got engaged to Nik! We are so excited for both Sarah and Nik. They have set a date of August 21, 2010! I am looking forward to the next 10 months hearing about Sarah's plans and giving her any help she needs. I can't wait to stand up with her at her wedding. Nik is one lucky guy!
