First Swim
Adalyn and Amelia enjoyed their first swim yesterday with Auntie K!
They loved the water and splashed around.
Thanks for having us over Katie! Thanks to Bailey for watching the girls for a bit so Katie and I could lay out for a bit!
Maybe when the kids are older this is what our back yard will look like! Wouldn't that be perfect!

5 Months Old
The twins are 5 months old!! WOW!! They are getting cuter by the day and starting to look more and more alike too!!
1. My best guess on weight would be 12 and 13 pounds....we will check tomorrow!
2. The girls are still wearing size 3 month clothes and have moved to size 2 diapers! They still are wearing 1's as I find them here and there, but we are done opening size 1.
3. They are really wanting to sit up, but they have not got the hang of it. We finally got a double jogger so I hope to take them on some walks soon so they can look around at the world around them.
4. Wubbanubs---love them! Most people don't like when babies have binkis, but in this case I don't really mind. I think that getting rid of them will be easy when it is time. we will be able to cut off the binki and they will still have the animal.
5. Both girls are still eating 4 oz. at a feeding. I generally can get them to take 5 or 6 oz at 10, but Aaron didn't have the same luck when I was out of town. We will see if they are ready to eliminate this feeding or if they just missed their momma.
6. Premixed formula in the fridge is still the favorite around here. The twins still nurse when they have the opportunity, but mostly formula is now used.
7. They are still sharing a bed upstairs and they look so cute snuggling next to each other!
8. Bedtime routine is perfect! Now if we can only get them to sleep through the night....
9. This summer means a lot of walks, tummy time, and a day time routine established! Can't wait!!
10. Our little babies bring so much joy to everyone! They sure are attention getters in public. I love watching them grow and change. We are very blessed!

Three Cuties
I dressed the girls in their red, white, and blue for Memorial Day. Jayden wore his blue and white underwear. Close enough.
He thought I was so funny because I was trying to get the girls to smile.

Last weekend I finally had some free time to take a few pictures with the normal camera of the girls with their 4 month sticker! They were not too thrilled with sitting and staring at me.

Happy Mother's Day
Happy Mother's Day!! We headed down to St. Louis for our Mother's Day visit to the zoo. I wasn't sure we were going to make it this year because two adults with three kids really doesn't sound like it would be easy! All of the kids woke up happy, so we decided to continue our tradition and head south!
Jayden LOVED the animals and had a lot to say about each one.
The weather was perfect and the girls enjoyed a stroller ride. I was afraid it was going to be either too hot or too cold, but it was perfect! The hills were a killer with this stroller. We must have a double jogger by next year!
We saw several sets of twins on our adventure and had several comments as usual. Maybe next year I will be able to get a decent picture with all three!
Happy Mother's Day to all Moms! Being a mom is the hardest job, but definitely the most rewarding!

Pinkalicious
Lilly celebrated her 5th birthday today with a Pinkalicious Party! I didn't get any pictures of the birthday girl (or birthday girls Aunt Lori and Mom), but I did get some pictures of my little Pinkalicious girls who are 4 months old! They were dressed to the nines in their new dresses from Great Grandma and Grandpa Acree and boy did they look cute!!

4 Months Old
Adalyn Suzanne and Amelia Marie are 4 months old today!! Four months ago today I think I may have been laying on the floor crying....or maybe at this point I decided to finish packing my bags for the hospital. Either way, I didn't think less than an hour after being admitted to the hospital we would be welcoming these two into the world.
1. On May 9, the girls go for their 4 month check. From my own weight check, I believe that Adalyn weighs 11 pounds and Amelia is 10 pounds. Adalyn is still a bit longer than little Amelia.
2. The babies are wearing size 3 months clothes and still in size one diapers. I am hoping we can move to the size 1-2 very soon!
3. This past month both girls learned to roll over and are becoming quite demanding! They do not care to ride in their car seats, just like Jayden did when he was this age!
4. They still love their Wubbanubs!!
5. Both girls take around 4 oz. at a feeding. The 10:00 p.m. feeding is more like 6 oz., which is helping them sleep better. We have successfully had two full nights of sleep this month, which has been amazing!
6. We switched to premixed formula and milk mixed together and kept in the fridge. The girls seem to do a lot better with this new method. Less air bubbles and Amelia eats a lot more!
7. I officially made Jayden's upstairs room into their room. I moved one of their cribs upstairs and made a make-shift room. There is still a lot to fix to make it cute, but it works for now!
8. Bedtime routine is still awesome! I wish Jayden would have slept as good as these two. Around 6:30 each night, the girls get a warm bath and then take a bottle if it is close to time to eat. We put them in bed awake around 7:15-7:30 and they fall asleep on their own with the help of their Wubbanubs. It is awesome! We try not to mess with this routine because it is too good to mess up!
9. The girls are awake a lot more during the day. We try to follow the eat, play, sleep cycle to keep them in a constant routine. They both enjoy swinging and playing on their play mat. They do not enjoy tummy time but I try each day. They also like to sit in their "cars" and look around.
10. I can't believe that four months has passed so quickly. I am looking forward to my last few weeks of work and the summer ahead. I also can't wait for their doctor appointment next week! I am sad that I have to miss it!

Morning Time
Some days I'm lucky enough to get out of the house while everyone is asleep. Some days if I'm really lucky I can get out of the house after snuggling with each baby.
Monday was a day when the twins decided to watch me get ready for work. Boy, do I look tired!! Those storms kept me up practically all night! Oh, well. 18 days of school and counting!
