Jayden's First Bath

On Saturday, Jayden got his first bath at home. He wasn't too happy about the whole process, but he is getting more adjusted to it. Mia was reallyconcerned and wasn't sure why the baby was crying. Aaron did such a great job giving his baby boy a bath!

The Acree Family

Aaron's parents and brother were able to make the trip to Taylorville to help welcome home baby Jayden. We can't wait for Jayden to meet the rest of the Acree family. Here are all of the Acree boys!
PawPaw, Nana, Daddy, Jayden and Uncle Adam

Jayden and Uncle Adam. It looks like Jayden is looking up to Uncle Adam for some advice or wondering why he is going to leave for Colorado in a few weeks!

Forty Under 40

Tonight we were guests at the Illinois State Museum for a Forty Under 40 banquet. This award ceremony was for forty leaders under the age of 40 in the Springfield area. There were 130 people nominated for this award. I am very proud of Aaron and his recent accomplishment!
Jesse White was the keynote speaker. He had time to take a quick photo with me and Baby Boy! I will just consider this my Week 38 picture.

And of course with Aaron too!

Congrats, Aaron! We are all so proud of you! Keep up the good work!

The 4th and 5th of July

For the 4th of July we spent some time over at the Doan's house. Because of the bad weather, we were not able to take the boat out until the 5th of July.

Kristy drove the boat for the first time! She was a little scared, but did a great job!

On the 4th of July, we had a cookout at the Doan's. The boys kept busy with Guitar Hero.

Madeline joined us on 4th of July too. She was awesome at Guitar Hero.

The sun going down on Lake Taylorville. I wish this was the view from my backyard. Someday!

Week 37 & Baby Boy's Room

This week my Mom came to town and made curtains for baby boy's room. She ordered an extra bed skirt and sheets and made her own creation. Pottery Barn Kids doesn't sell curtains that match this bedding, so we got creative! They match perfect and look super cute! Thanks, Mom!
Baby Boy's upstairs room is ready to go!
Week 37 Doctor Appointment- Yesterday I went to the doctor for my Week 37 appointment. Progress is being made! We set an induction date for July 23 at 5:00 if he doesn't come before then. I suppose the next few weeks will be filled with cleaning and relaxing.

Baby Acree-Week 36

I am starting to count down the days and the bags are packed! Only 27 more days to go or less. I am sure it is going to fly by! Today I went for my 36 wk appointment and doctor completed an ultrasound. Baby Acree has been breech until this week. The sonogram showed that he weighed in at 7 lbs 8 oz and is ready to show the world who he is. He is also starting to drop down. We couldn't even get a 3D picture of his face because he was too low! Woo hoo! Going back next Thursday!
