New Favorite Spot

Two nights in a row when I have been working in the kitchen, I turn around to find Amelia in the oven drawer.

Tonight Adalyn joined her and then went on her own adventure.

They are into EVERYTHING!!!

Our Little Pumpkins

The weather was perfect today to snap a few pictures of the twins in pumpkins. Jayden was a 3 month old when he had this same adventure! This time he was the one to pick out the pumpkin that the girls could fit in.

Amelia was up first and was very happy to be in the pumpkin!

Then it was Adalyn's turn. She wasn't as impressed, but gave us a smile anyways.

And of course, here is the one who started it all!

How J eats an OREO

Step 1: Climb on the counter and get cookies when your mom is not watching. Must be super quiet!

Step 2: Remove the top of the Oreo.

Step 3: Remove the cream filling.

Step 4: Eat the cream filling and leave the chocolate for someone else! Enjoy!

I don't eat my Oreo's like this nor does Aaron. I guess everyone has their own way!

Dinner & Target

Hunting season means I'm home alone on Saturday nights. Which also means I look for entertainment. This past weekend the kids I joined Dad, Gma & Maddie for dinner at Cracker Barrel.

Jayden scarfed down his giant pancake and Amelia enjoyed his leftovers.

We headed to Target because Poppy promised Jayden a new toy if he was good at dinner.

I also discovered that I can officially go shopping with all three at Target by myself as long as I have this cart!!

Jayden also got a giant pumpkin for all of his Halloween goodies. The girls each got a glow worm for their crib.

The pumpkin is so big Adalyn can fit in!

Jayden is getting quite tricky too. He pulled the chair out from under me that day too. I fell to the ground---but at least I got a snuggle.

Thanks for a yummy dinner and new toys!! We had fun!!

The Great Pumpkin Patch 2012

Once again, we ventured over to Arthur for our annual visit to The Great Pumpkin Patch. It was a very chilly day so we bundled up and headed out! Jayden was so excited to take his Daddy to a pumpkin patch. This is our third weekend heading out to look at pumpkins and our third trip to the Great Pumpkin Patch!

I love getting a picture at this sign each year. Before it was our turn, a little boy was turning backwards, so guess who wanted to do the same. He would not turn around and I wasn't going to fight. Last year, I had to hold him up to the board---click here to see how little he was last year! Or if you really want to go back--click here for our first trip! It was super warm in 2010 & 2011!

Jayden ran through the maze and ran everywhere!

Adalyn got her "first" of many pictures at the sign.

 So did Amelia!
Here we are in 2012!

Although it was a chilly day, it was nice to spend the day as a family and join the Sitko's for a picnic. Next year will be even more of an adventure with three walking! Maybe we can get some more friends to join us next year. This place is too cool to not visit!

Happy Fall :)

Love Letter~October 2012~Jayden

This post is all about YOU, Jayden!

Jayden--

Over the last month you have grown up so much! Your Daddy and I have talked about how much you have matured since you started school. Speaking of school---you love it!!! We were all so nervous about how you would react to school and after the first two weeks, you love going. You love your teacher. You love to sing and dance. You love going to Grandma's after preschool too.

Another thing you love is the outdoors. Your love for this has been your entire life, but now that you are older you love to ride your bike. Each time we get out of the van you run right to your bike and make as many loops as you can before I have to steal you away from the fun. Wego chases you around the driveway and you tell me that your ride "super fast".
You are still a momma boy and need me in every situation that you come across. "Mommy, mommy, mommy" is what you say about a million times a day. This is the exact reason I didn't take you to your first day of school. I am not sure you would have went in! You have FINALLY stopped getting upset when I drop you off at Janel's house. You know I am coming back.

Your love for learning and reading has grown by leaps and bounds this month. You must read several books before bed and two of them are read by you.
The other night you ran into the bathroom while I was giving your sisters a bath and shouted, "I did it!". The thought in my head was not good. What you did was pull up a chair and get out your own apple juice, screw off the lid and pour yourself a glass. You were so proud. I am so very thankful the GALLON was ALMOST empty and it only filled up your cup 1/4 of the way. That would have been a terrible mess to clean. I would have done it though. I follow you around every night cleaning up the tornado you leave behind.
Your Daddy is top on the list too. He has been so busy working on a few houses right now that you only see him for about an hour a day. You have tricked him into sleeping downstairs with you every once in a while. Either that or he knows if he is upstairs crying girls MIGHT just wake him up. You love to take a ride on the four-wheeler and love it when he takes you to the store. A pack of M&M's is always on the receipt.

Sweet child---I have never seen anyone love sports more than you. You could play basketball all day. You can dribble, hang on the rim and shoot it from so far away. I am hoping your shyness doesn't scare you away from playing this winter.
You are getting used to your sisters, but are not into sharing your stuff with them. Hence this picture. This is "your" swing. Looks like a few pink swings are on the Christmas list.
Jayden, you are a funny, intelligent, growing little guy (30 pounds now). A lot of people love you and always will!

9 Months OLD!!!

This past month has been a crazy, busy month full of milestones for the twins (and Jayden too)! I cannot believe that in three, yes, three short months we will be celebrating their first birthday!

 1. Adalyn and Amelia recently made a trip to the doctor for a quick check. They are still so tiny weighing in at 13.9 and 12.9 pounds! Looking forward to seeing their length in a few weeks. They have long legs like their momma! Jayden was a whopping 19.5 pounds at his 9 month check! You can see all of his milestone if you click here.
2. The twins are wearing mostly 6 month clothing. They can still wear 3 month outfits, 3-6 sleepers, but also fit very nicely into 6 month sleepers as well as 6-9 month sleepers. It is their long legs that put them in the bigger sizes. They are still wearing size 2 diapers. I think last month we went through 180 diapers in 3 weeks!
3.They are crazy, super crawlers! They go anywhere and everywhere and they are fast!! I think they may walk sooner than Jayden!
4. They think their brother is the coolest thing and will follow him around. They are amazed by him. Sometime he will say, "Aww...so cute!" when talking to them. He doesn't really like to share his favorite toys with them or like it when they touch his cup, but he is getting much better about having them around and loving them!
5. Both babies are doing much better with eating bottles. They eat between 4-6 oz. I have tried the sippy cup, but they are not into it at all!
6. They still love their baby food as well as little yogurt bites and baby snack food such as puffs! They have nibbled on a few things as well as a piece of cake as their Great Grandma's 75th birthday party (thanks to Uncle John).
7. No teeth but they love to chew!
8. Bath time is fun. They are starting to talk to each other while they are in the bath. It is so cute! They can say mama, dada, bbbbb.
9. Sleeping. What? Sleeping is going so well at our house. They will take great naps for me on the weekend, but for sitters during the week, not so much. At night, they want me to hold them! We will be doing another of cry it out very soon. This momma is worn out.
10. Sweet babies--you are the cutest and sweetest little girls. We just love you to pieces!
