Mommy and Jayden's Day Out

Jayden and I enjoyed a morning of fun on Tuesday. We headed to Chatham to visit some of his little friends at daycare and then headed to the mall. He got a new outfit for the girls' baptism and Easter. We also enjoyed a cookie for his wonderful behavior and of course time at the germ infested playground! I can't wait for warm weather and we can go to a park!

We enjoyed a lunch date out. He gave me his best "cheese" for a picture to send to Daddy.

After a stop at the toy store, grocery store, and a new orange ball that caught his eye and won over his heart, he fell asleep as we pulled out of the parking lot.

Operation 100% attention to Jayden was a success!

Sweet Little Faces

This isn't the best picture in the world, but after a full morning (8 am to 1 pm) of crying unless I was holding them, they *finally* settled down for a two hour nap. On my pillow. In my bed. Right next to me. Sounds just like another sweet baby I know....who happen to be in that same spot 12 hours previous to this photo.

But their sweet faces next to mine after a two hour nap makes me forget all about the uncomfortable night sleep and headache I had from all the crying. Amazing how that works.

Just some randoms

Tonight both girls went to bed on time. Aaron and Jayden enjoyed some tv. What does that mean for me? Time to blog. I skimmed through our February folder and found some pictures that I never published or at least I don't think I did.
So here they are!

Nana came a few weeks ago to visit the kids. It gave us a nice break from the daily chaos. Adalyn and Amelia enjoyed a nap in her arms.
Jayden actually decided he would let his sisters watch Oso with him that night.
Miss Adalyn was watching her crazy brother dance to the robot song after Oso. He is a pretty crazy dancer!

A & A's First Trip to Mt. Carmel

We packed our bags and headed down to Mt. Carmel this past weekend for Adalyn & Amelia's first big trip! They did a great job on the way there and the way home. Much better than Jayden did on his first big trip. While we were there, the girls enjoyed some tummy time on a girly play mat. They are used to the boy one we have at home.

They had a lot of visitors and met some family for the first time. Great Grandma and Grandpa Willis made a trip over for a visit and to meet the girls.

They even were babysat by their PawPaw and Nana. However, I think he *might* have fallen asleep when trying to put one of the girls to sleep. Sounds like someone else I know :)

Uncle John, Aunt Kim, Evan and Elliott also came for a visit. Little Eric had a temperature, so we will have to visit with him next time!

Uncle Tim, Aunt Kay, Aunt Brenda, Uncle Terry, Grandma and Grandpa Acree also came for a visit too!

On Saturday night, Aaron and I headed out to a movie. It was nice little break from our cute little babies! We will make another adventure in four weeks for Aaron's birthday!

Bath Time

The babies love bath time! One at a time they soak in the tub, get their hair washed, and get dressed for bed.

All clean and ready for bottles!

Jayden has a different idea when it comes to the baby bath. He uses it as a personal recliner to enjoy some tv.

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone!! Today we spent the day baking a cake, visiting friends, and sporting our Valentine colors!
Adalyn and Amelia got a few new outfits for their first Valentine's Day, so of course, I had to take pictures! Adalyn looks chubby and Amelia wouldn't let go of her binki!
Nana bought them their own personalized shirts for their first ever holiday. They looked so cute today when they went to school to visit the kids and staff.

Jayden got a new shirt too. He loved seeing the kids and ate about four of my Valentine cupcakes when we got home!
Great Grandma Acree sent up a Valentine basket for the kids too. The girls got a few stuffed bears for the holiday.
Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Brotherly Love??

Jayden has started to get a little closer to his sisters this week on his own terms.

He informed me that "she has hair". A step up from "she's crying".

You occasionally might catch him laying by his sisters. But don't ask him to because then off he goes.

First picture of the three of them together......I'll take whatever I can get even if they look like little starving birds and a guy doing sit ups.

ONE Month Old

Sweet girl and sweet pea are one month old! This month has flown by especially since the first two weeks we spent a lot of time traveling between St. John's and Memorial.

Here are their monthly stats:

1. Adalyn weighs 6 lbs. 11 oz. (1%) and is 20 inches long (8%). Amelia is 5 lbs. 13 oz. (1%) and is 19 1/4 (1%). The doctor is pleased with their growth and they continue to grow on their own curve.

2. Both girls are wearing newborn diapers and newborn clothes. Preemie clothes are too short in the arms and legs.

3. They are making sweet baby noises and crying. Sometimes it seems as if they are "talking" to each other. They also can follow our hands with their eyes and are starting to get a lot stronger with their grips and head control.

4. Favorite toy: Wubbanubs! Adalyn has the giraffe and Amelia has a monkey.

5. Both girls are taking around 3 to 4 oz. of milk at each feeding (every 3 hours).

6. We are starting to work on moving feedings to every four hours, but Adalyn doesn't always agree with this decision.

7. They are getting quite the collection of pink and bows! I like to dress them up in a hair bow at least every other day for picture purposes.

8. The girls love to swing and fall asleep on Mommy and Daddy. Jayden still hasn't taken a liking to his sisters except letting us know when "she's crying".

9. They are sleeping pretty much all hours of their life except at feeding time. During they day or evening when they are awake, they swing, have tummy time or just look around. Their awake time is starting to increase as they grow and will continue. The girls are still sleeping in their own beds upstairs and we will make the move to their cribs downstairs later this month.

10. We are so happy our family of five is finally together living under one roof. We love watching the girls grow as the days pass. They are going to be a joy to watch as they grow and start to look more like each other!

We love you Adalyn and Amelia!!
