New Boots

It was a beautiful night.....new boots came in the mail and so we grabbed a shirt and jean jackets and headed to the back yard!

Gosh, they are cute and best friends too!

Homecoming Parade 2013

Adalyn, Amelia and I headed to Taylorville this week for the Homecoming Parade! We went to see cousin Jake, Travis and all of our other little Tville friends. Of course, we got to spend some special time with Amy and Lilly! 

The girls were a little scared of the fire trucks but were good little watchers!

Jake, a senior this year, was up in the front all pumped for the game! He actually played an awesome game!! Great job, Jake!

The girls scored big time with candy! We only took a few pieces home but they could have been set for months!!!

Pumpkin Patch 2013

We headed out to the pumpkin patch last weekend for the first visit of the year! Jayden was thrilled to be going to the pumpkin farm!

The girls were hard workers picking out one too many pumpkins to bring home!

We enjoyed our trip to Indian Knoll Pumpkin Farm!

New Presents

Great Grandma and Grandpa Acree were up our way this weekend so we were able to meet for dinner! After spending some time at Scheel's, the kids got their presents. Jayden was more than thrilled to receive a new Toy Story set that included three puzzles, tic-tac-toe and checkers.

He got the first puzzle together so quickly while I was working on putting bar stools together. He then decided to make a fort out of the box and he practiced writing his name. His first 3 letters were done by himself, the others he had help with.

The girls got new "kitty" dolls. They hugged them instantly and they are added to the must have collection at night and in the morning. I was just thinking the other day how many more "things" could they have in their bed. One more to add to the list!

It was great to see Grandma and Grandpa! We hope to make it to Mt. Carmel soon!

Birthday Party for a Classmate!

The birthday party adventures are starting! Jayden was invited to his first friend birthday party from school. They bounced in the bounce house, got their faces painted and had fun playing together!

It was a successful day and I am sure there are more parties to come!

Cute

A & A's First Haircut

Adalyn and Amelia had their first ever haircut tonight. Well, it was actually more like a trim, but you get the point. 

They wanted nothing to do with the cape, but that is okay! They got a little trim and some of their little curls got cut shorter. I am anxious to see what they look like tomorrow once their hair is dry and back to normal. Of course their hair was a little damp at bedtime, so I was unable to see if there is any curl left!

Amelia enjoyed a sucker while she got her haircut. She wasn't about to sit still for someone to trim her hair a little!

Just A Little Jealous

I'm a bit jealous that my mom gets to take Jayden to school everyday. He seriously thinks that she is the only one allowed to do this job. He is happy as a lark on the drive and eats his breakfast. He talks about his upcoming day and all about school. He gives the thumbs up when she tells him to have a good day and watches him fist bump his best friends. Seriously, our Jayden is loving school and friends. You'd never know a year ago he was a shy, quiet, little creature. 

Aaron gets to pick Jayden up almost everyday but once the twins got to go to pick him up. How cute is that? 

Thank goodness for a grandma that lives close and doesn't mind the extra duty of dropping a little guy off at school. I'm pretty sure someday she is going to miss it. I'm pretty sure I'm a little jealous too.

Open House

We went to Jayden's open house last week. He had some projects on display. His teachers just love him but let us know he is a little crazy when it comes to staying in the lines coloring and cutting with scissors. He would cut all day if we let him. Looks like we will be working on our coloring and cutting at home!! 

Loving School

Jayden was more than happy to wake up at 6:45 and head to school. The girls woke up at 6:30 and I wasn't ready yet, so they got treated to a bottle and Mickey Mouse. Everyone needs a relaxing morning on a Friday!

B and Red Week!

Jayden had so much fun at school this week! They read a lot of stories with the color red and had a special red day. They started working on the letter B too!
