Jayden's 1st Soccer Game

After three weeks of rain on Tuesday and Thursday, Jayden finally got to play his first soccer game! Von Behren Builders sponsored his team this year and Aaron is the assistant coach!

We arrived to the game early and the kids started practicing. Jayden is #6 this season!

Soccer is a lot of running for a boy! He got in on the action a few times but played it safe for the most part!

Jayden also got to play goalie an had a few friends join him in his position.

After the game all the parents made a tunnel for the kids to run through. It was pretty neat!

He was so happy after the game! Great job, Jayden!!

A Little Yard Work and a Little Play

Last Sunday we spend all day work on the landscaping, pulling weeds and covering everything with black plastic. Although it is a little too early to plant anything, we jumped to the next step of getting mulch just to get that part checked off the list. Tonight Aaron was working outside and Jayden got some time to play too because the rain had stopped just long enough for a little kid to play.

He needed boots on to work.

The kids helped rake and place the mulch. Of course the other picture I took everyone was looking and smiling but it was blurry. Ah!!!

Jayden got a little dirty and learned how to wash his hands in a puddle. Hmmm.

Then he took a few laps around the driveway on Madeline's old trike. He had a ball!

He ended his night outside splashing around in the puddles. Might as well enjoy it, right?

Acree Park

The last two Sunday's have been beautiful. 75 degrees and us outside all day long. These were from a few weeks ago when all six kids were playing outside and we enjoyed a cookout!

Perfect match. Everyone has a "someone" to help them!

I think maybe Reagan was over helping out! Ha!

Beach Pictures

On the last day of our trip we enjoyed (well, most of us) some pictures on the beach. I wasn't going to travel in a car 15 hours and not come back with some good pictures! I found the perfect lady to take our photos for cheaper than I could find in Taylorville. I was pleased with what we received and they were all shipped to me on a disk. Perfect! I wish I could have gotten a few more shots of the kids alone, but it was windy and it just didn't work out.

Jayden did not wake up happy and there was no way to reschedule, so we had to make due!

May have swung him a little too high. Oops!

I don't think Aaron and I have had a professional picture without a child in years, she suggested it, so we did!

I love beach pictures! Maybe in a few years we will be lucky enough to make it somewhere warm again and enjoy another photo shoot. Until then, these are ours to enjoy!

Playing Outside!!

Having a big back yard can be a lot of work, but it also means a lot of fun!!

You can ride your aunt's old Gator for hours and hours or until the battery dies.

You can play in your playhouse.

Go for a wagon ride all around and laugh at all the bumps in the yard.

You can swing in your very own "park" for as long as you want!

You can play baseball without worrying about breaking a window.

Or if you are really lucky you can even have races around the house.

I think I would totally content living in a big city but our back yard is a pretty cool place!

Myrtle Beach Family Pics

Five people. Three kids. One mom with a camera would equal a disaster!

Five people. Three kids. A photographer with a camera equals very pretty pictures!

Family pictures taken by the momma are impossible. I googled "photographers in myrtle beach" and found this lady who takes pictures for visitors to Myrtle Beach. We met up on the last full day of our trip. I am looking forward to seeing all of the pictures later this week when she mails me the disk with all the photos!

Here is my preview:

Sweet little baby feet. Those are Adalyn's. Amelia wasn't digging the sand. Neither was Jayden.
Which is why we had to fling him in the air! LOL!!!

Poor Jayden wasn't in the mood at all for pictures!!!
Sweet babies playing in the sand!

Guest Blogger: Jayden

Jayden is the gust blogger tonight. All responses are from Jayden, typed by Mommy. He is telling you about some pictures we took at Myrtle Beach.

"That is me and I crying."

"I not crying at that picture at the beach."
"That is a picture of me and Daddy. I want that picture. It is Jayden and Daddy."

"That is me and my kite. Adalyn and Amelia are playing at the beach."

"That is Daddy with sisters."

15 Months Old

1. Adalyn and Amelia go for their 15 month check tomorrow! I am thinking Adalyn is around 19-20 pounds and Amelia hasn't quite hit 18 pounds. I am looking forward to seeing how long they are too!
2. They are wearing size 3 diaper (ready for size 4 soon!!), 12-18 month clothes and close to a size 4 shoe. Amelia is better with a 3 in some brands.
3. They are walking, climbing little monkeys. They climb, climb, climb and love to slide!
4. They love their family, that is for sure! They are taking a liking to some strangers too. When we get stopped at stores Adalyn gives her smile and sweet girl eyes. Amelia still gives curious looks.
5. Adalyn is an eater!! She LOVES food. Most any food that we give her she will eat. Amelia is picky. She only eats when she is hungry and eats like a bird.
6. Teeth! Ah. Both are cutting two top teeth. This has made them pretty grouchy!
7. Amelia is a swimmer. She LOVES the bath and generally stays in much longer than Adalyn. She plays with the letters and the toys. Adalyn likes to get in, play for a bit and get out. We usually talk to Amelia while she finished her bath.
8. They are starting to talk more. Amelia has more words than Adalyn. Both say momma, dada, Jayden, baba, baby, no, go. Amelia says Melia, shoes, papa.
9. The girls are still sleepers! I have to try to figure out how to get them to sleep later so we can enjoy our summer! They sleep 7:30-7:00. The same schedule Jayden had at this age!
10. Adalyn and Amelia you two are the cutest, sweetest little babies. We love you so, so much!!
