Pulling Up

Jayden pulled up on the couch tonight too. Earlier this week the couch was too high for him but not anymore! Watch out world!

Off on the walker

Jayden took off on his walker today. I caught him strolling around the living room. It made me a little nervous as I thought about what we need to do to baby proof! We really need to get rid of the glass table our tv is sitting on for starters! It isn't very baby friendly. I do realize the time of bumps and bruises are here!

Jayden's Big Day

Jayden had a very big day today and accomplished a few milestones in a short 24 hour period. Last night when he woke up in the middle of the night he pulled himself up to standing. When Aaron walked in the room he was holding onto the front of his crib waiting to be rescued. He also became a super crawler zooming all around the house--there is no stopping him now! Finally, when I picked him up from my Mom's I noticed a little white speck on his gums. A little bitty part of his first tooth broke through. Hopefully it doesn't take too long to cut!

Just woke up

Here is Jayden on Friday morning just after he woke up. He always sits on the floor and waits for me to make a bottle before we take off to the sitters!

Jayden 9 months

Jayden is 9 months old today! Wow, time is going way too fast!!!

1. He weighs 19.5 lbs and is 27.5 inches long. He loves his big boy car seat and we will be able to turn it around in 3 months! Both height and weight are in the 25th percentile, which seems low for Jayden!

2. He is wearning 12 to 18 month clothing, depending on the brand. We have put away all of his clothes 9 months and smaller. He is officially wearing size 4 diapers during the day and at night too. He still doesn't mind wearing shoes and receives many compliments on them! He recently got a new pair of sandles to wear for this warm weather!

3. He is now crawling and gets exactly what he wants. He hasn't become a crazy man yet. He is crawling around his bed at night which has messed up his sleeping.

4. He still likes his walker a lot and looks like he is running when he is in it. He zooms everywhere he wants to go. He has forced it up on the carpet a few times too. He got a lot of new toys recently and loves to play. He will sit and play for a while before wanting to move on to the next toy. He loves to swing and watch the big kids play at the park too.

5. He loves bottles now. He still takes 4 oz during the day and takes 6 oz. before bed and nap time. He drinks from his sippy cup at lunch and dinner. He still nurses once or twice a day.

6. He loves most of the baby food he has been given. The most real food he has had was a cracker, but I am still not ready for him to have real food. He eats three times a day. Baby puffs are now in his diet along with a few nibbles from a teething buscuit every once in a while.

7. He doesn't have any teeth yet, but when you look at his gums they are swollen. I think they will be coming soon. He will probably just wake up with a few teeth one day.

8. He still loves bath time so nothing has changed about that.

9. He is sleeping in his own bed, all night, every night. It has been so nice!! I still wake him up in the morning when it is time to leave. He is so sweet at 6:40am. He stretches and then smiles. I love it! This week has been different because of the crawling and teething, but soon enough he will be back on schedule!

10. He waves bye-bye to almost everyone when they walk out a door. He loves listening to his CD in the car and will say "uggg" when he wants to hear it play.

11. He can say mama, gggg, baba, blah blah, and a lot of other baby babble. Dada is his biggest accomplishment this month.

We are looking forward to seeing what the little man is going to do next!

Helping with Laundry

A few nights ago I sat Jayden in the hallway so I could get some laundry done. He began sorting through the clean clothes and tossing them behind him. It was so funny. I bet I watched him play with the clothes for 15 minutes.

Swinging at the Park

Jayden and I walked to the park the other day so he could swing on the big swings and watch the big kids play. He loved swinging and was worn out on the way home so he enjoyed a bottle.

Jayden Update

I haven't been on to post in a few days, but will try tonight if I have a chance. Jayden is offically a crawler and can say "dada". Pictures and videos will be posted soon!

He is ALMOST a crawler

This weekend Jayden took his first real crawls. He can go four crawls before he falls. By the end of the week I am pretty sure he will officially be considered a crawler. Looks like we have a lot of baby proofing to do this week!

Crazy Hair

Jayden and I enjoyed a nap this afternoon and when we woke up he had crazy hair. He must have really enjoyed snuggling in our bed. What a funny little guy!

Clean after a bath....

Jayden's new jammies said "Dad says I'm in Charge" so while Daddy is gone Jayden is in charge!

Here is Jayden clean after a bath! He looks a lot like Daddy in this bottom picture!

Aaron 1st Turkey

This weekend Aaron headed down to Deer Camp to go turkey hunting. Before he left on Thursday night, he told Jayden he was going to get his first turkey this weekend. He was right! Here is the picture he sent me on Friday. Good job, Aaron!

Jayden's 1st Boat Ride

Jayden had his first official boat ride tonight on the Doan's boat. The boys decided to take a little cruise and check out the lake. After Zumba, the girls joined and I brought Jayden along for the ride. He really liked being out on the lake and loved just looking at the water. The boat ride gave all of us summer fever. Hopefully this doesn't mean the last 32 days of school are going to drag...but who's counting?? He also got to drive "Uncle J's" boat. I am sure before we know it he will be driving a boat on his own!
Of course, I snapped a million pictures of him, but this is one of my favorite.

Daddy was telling Jayden all about how much fun we are going to have this summer. Hopefully, we can get a lake lot so Jayden can join us on our weekend outings.

Jayden's friend Henry also had his first boat ride tonight too. Henry was such a good boy and stayed in his car seat the entire time. He was laughing and smiling. Just so you know, we had two infant life jackets on the boat. Jayden will wear one this summer-no choice. Tonight was just a once in a lifetime chance until he knows how to swim!

Here we are right before taking off on Lake Taylorville!

Happy even at 6:40am

Jayden was so happy when I woke him up this morning. I just had to take a picture with my little man. Not too bad for a self portrait!

1 year at our house

One year ago today was the first day we stayed at our house. It sure has come a long way since then! We still have some work to do both inside and out, but we are glad we made the move. There is a lot more space inside and out! Hopefully this year we can build a porch and paint the house. Here is a picture of our apple tree that recently bloomed. It looks so pretty! Jayden sat in the grass for a split second while I took a picture, but wasn't too happy!

Momma's Boy

After being home on spring break a few weeks ago Jayden missed me when I had to go back to work. This is a picture of us when I came home from work the first day after leaving him. He was pretty happy to have his mommy back home!

Practice on the walker

Jayden has been practicing on his walker everynight. This isn't the best video, but it is better than nothing! Here is a little clip of him attempting to learn how to walk.

Look at those eyes

Jayden may look just like his Daddy, but he definitely has my eyes and long eyelashes.

A Beautiful Day

We took a drive out by the lake this weekend to enjoy the beautiful day. We stopped to take a few pictures while Aaron stopped at the Marina. For once, I was able to get a picture with Jayden. Being the photographer, I always get left out of the pictures!

He loves to swing

For Christmas, Nana and Papa got Jayden a swing. It has been so nice lately that he has been able to enjoy his gift.

Cute Little Man

I took Jayden to the park on Monday to swing. He loved watching the big kids play on all of the playground equipment! He was just staring at them!
We all know Jayden is going to play in dirt, so I found this outfit to be perfect!

Happy 2nd Birthday, Payton!

Baby Madelyn at her big sister's birthday party. Only one day old!

Today we headed to Springfield for Payton's 2nd Birthday party. Yesterday, Payton received the best gift ever, a new baby sister! Baby Madelyn was able to come home today and made a grand entrance at her big sister's birthday party! When we arrived Payton said baby to Jayden and followed him around. She blew some bubbles at him and gave him a hug and a kiss. What a sweet girl! Thanks for inviting us to your party! Happy Birthday, Payton!!

Crying to Laughing

Jayden is one of the happiest little guys I know. With a few simple laughs from me he can go from being whiny to laughing.

Playing with Daddy

Jayden loves to push Daddy over! He can even play while looking at the camera!

The Purple Horse Video

Here is a sneak peak of Jayden on the purple horse. He was a bit of a dare-devil as he let go of the handles as it was moving.

Jayden tells a story

Jayden must have had fun at Gamma Lisa's today because here is what he told me about his day. The quality of this video is not the best as it was taken from my little blue camera.

1st Easter

Great Grandma Acree has been really good about getting Jayden a bib for all of his 1st holidays. Here he is in his Jayden's 1st Easter bib!

One more stop for Easter

Tonight we headed out to my Dad's for Easter dinner. Jayden received a few more gifts for his 1st Easter. He got a Disney airplane, a set of 3 Barney DVD's, a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse DVD, a talking dog, and a Zhu Zhu pet (he thinks they are funny). He enjoys sitting on the plane pushing the buttons to make the propeller spin as well as stop the propeller with his hands. Good thing it is made of foam! Overall, I would say Jayden's first Easter was a success. He was good at church and was able to spend time with family. His toy room is officially full--I suppose it is a good thing we moved to a bigger house!

Happy Easter

Happy Easter! This morning we enjoyed Easter breakfast as a little family. Jayden also loved looking through what they Easter bunny brought for him. We headed off to church after that and then back home to work outside. It is such a beautiful day! Here is Jayden with all of his Easter gifts as of this morning. He is one lucky bunny!
Yea! A new life jacket so he can go on the boat this summer!

A new dog to teach him about his colors and body parts!

Jayden and his gifts from the Easter Bunny! The baseball basket is from Mommy and Daddy which was filled with baseball clothes--the rest all Easter Bunny!

Grandpa dropped by a toy for Jayden this morning too. A gator to ride on in the yard!

Some Bunny is Spoiled!!

Some little bunny in our house is spoiled! This just shows how much he is loved by our family. Nana came up to see Jayden today and bring his Easter basket as well as bring his Easter basket from Great-Grandma and Grandpa Acree. Jayden loved looking though all of his goodies. I am pretty sure he examined everything that was given to him. He loved the books, cookies, and little stuffed chicks the best! He also didn't mind his sunglasses and enjoyed knocking over his blocks! Thanks everyone for making Jayden's first Easter special. We will head to church with Nanny tomorrow and enjoy Easter dinner with my family tomorrow night.

Helping Daddy

Aaron brought home the bobcat tractor this weekend to get some work done at our house. Jayden was able to explore the bobcat while Daddy had it parked. I am sure this is just the start of his love for construction equipment just like his Daddy and the rest of the Acree men.
