Letters to Santa

Our letters to Santa are ready to go!!!

Jayden wrote his own and we only had one copy, so the giant letters are here to stay!
He said he wanted "a four-wheeler, Planes (the movie), a Monster's Machine (he means factory, and a Batman (house)."

Adalyn and Amelia are asking for a kitchen, washer and Doc McStuffins.

Hope they get all they wish for and more!

Circus 2013

Adalyn and Amelia went to their first circus over the weekend! They did pretty good sitting and watching for 22 month olds!!

We were hoping to see more animals, but they saved those until the end. Going to the first half, is long enough for me. Maybe next year!!

Happy Halloween~Toy Story Style

A few months ago, Jayden decided he was going to be Buzz Lightyear for Halloween. It just so happens that later that week, I found a Jessie costume as well as "Squeaker" costumes for the twins. Perfect. So for an entire month we talked about Halloween and what everyone was going to be. Jayden needed to Daddy to be Woody, so we got him a costume too.

To go a step further, we decided that everyone needed to be a Toy Story character. Our Andy did not play along and ended up being a baseball player. However, we had a Barbie, the Penguin and Mrs. Potato Head.

Halloween just had to be rainy, so it was indoor Trunk or Treats for us at Jayden's old preschool.

We then headed to another indoor Trick or Treat fest at the mall. You wouldn't believe how popular we were. I really felt like I was at Disney dressed up as a character. Seriously--that is what it was like!

We hope everyone had a safe Halloween! I wonder what we will be next year!?!

Jayden's 4 Year Old Halloween Party!

I couldn't make it to Jayden's party this year, but Grandma and Daddy were there to save the day!

You think he was a bit surprised seeing them at the parade?

Making something cool!!!

Picking out a prize is a big deal when you are 4!

Jayden's class! What cute little kids!! They all look awesome!

22 Months Old

Adalyn and Amelia are 2 short months from turning 2! I haven't had much time to "really" blog, but found a few spare moments tonight after everyone was asleep!

1. Both girls weigh around 20 pounds. Adalyn has a few pounds on her little sister and about an inch. Amelia makes up for it in everything else she does.
2. They are wearing size 18 months but still fit into 12 months quite perfectly. They moved up to size 4 diapers, which a box of those go a lot quicker than the size 3!
3. Right now, the girls love to climb. Climb, climb, climb, climb. That is really what they love to do. They love the iPad and all the educational games. They cannot name shapes like Jayden could, but love to count. They also love to read.
4. They love their babies, bedtime, milk, big kid cups, shoes and unfortunately their wubbies.
5. They enjoy eating cereal with milk in the mornings and really do a good job sitting and eating. Ad loves to eat every single bite. Amelia is more dainty with her eating habits.
6. What they don't really love is milk in a cup. They sometimes ask for a bottle, but it isn't a habit.
7. They both still have a few more teeth that need to come through, but they almost have a mouth full!
8. The girls are starting to become pretty different when it comes to certain things. Adalyn doesn't mind to wear a coat and a hat outside when it is cold. Amelia hates it. Amelia doesn't want her hair messed with, while Adalyn will allow me to put a bow in her hair. They both do not care for diapers and would like to wear undies. That is our winter project!
9. The girls both climbed out and into their beds last month. We put the toddler rails on, but they wouldn't stay in their beds. We had to turn them around facing the wall. For some reason, they don't climb out now. Thank goodness! They sleep 7-7 every single day and enjoy one nap in the afternoons.
10. Both of them are really starting to talk and express their opinions to us and everyone else. A favorite is "no". Imagine that. They know their animals and the sounds, but looking back to Jayden's 22 month post we are behind on shapes, but ahead with the alphabet. Looks like shapes are on the list of things to do this month!

Happy 22nd month birthday, Adalyn and Amelia!!!

Bears Game 2013

We were fortunate enough to make it up to Chicago again this year for a weekend away to celebrate our anniversary. It was a much needed break away from our beautiful babies and a chance for those babies to spend time with their grandparents!

We stayed downtown and did a little shopping. It was so nice to be able to run in the store with no one in tow, try on stuff and walk out. I of course found nothing, but Aaron scored some clothes on super sale!

On Sunday, we headed to Soldier Field to Aaron's first Bear's game! Thanks to eBay for a good deal on our tickets!

We heard the Bear's drum line in the parking lot. They were awesome! They also did the half time show!

We weren't in the highest section, so we could still see pretty good. The stadium really doesn't have a bad seat!

Before the game, we went right down to the front row. It was so neat! We had an enjoyable weekend!!!

New Boots

It was a beautiful night.....new boots came in the mail and so we grabbed a shirt and jean jackets and headed to the back yard!

Gosh, they are cute and best friends too!

Homecoming Parade 2013

Adalyn, Amelia and I headed to Taylorville this week for the Homecoming Parade! We went to see cousin Jake, Travis and all of our other little Tville friends. Of course, we got to spend some special time with Amy and Lilly!

The girls were a little scared of the fire trucks but were good little watchers!

Jake, a senior this year, was up in the front all pumped for the game! He actually played an awesome game!! Great job, Jake!

The girls scored big time with candy! We only took a few pieces home but they could have been set for months!!!

Pumpkin Patch 2013

We headed out to the pumpkin patch last weekend for the first visit of the year! Jayden was thrilled to be going to the pumpkin farm!

The girls were hard workers picking out one too many pumpkins to bring home!

We enjoyed our trip to Indian Knoll Pumpkin Farm!
