Two Months Old

This is a terrible picture but it kind of describes them. Adalyn being dramatic "Mom why must you take our pictures!" and Amelia just resting. I will post the better ones when I get a chance!

Two babies....two months old!



Here are their monthly stats:



1. Adalyn weighs around 9 pounds and it looks like she has grown longer too. Amelia weighs around 8 pounds and is growing longer too. We will get their official measurements on Wednesday.

2. Both girls are wearing newborn clothes and newborn diapers. I have two boxes of newborn diaper left, so we will move on to size one in few weeks! Adalyn is almost ready to give up the newborn clothes because she is getting too long. Amelia still has room :)

3. They are continuing the sweet baby noises and of course the crying. Amelia generally follows suit if Adalyn starts crying, she joins. We are working on having them hold their own rattle. It doesn't last long, but they try!

4. Favorite toy: Wubbanub. I can't get them to take them out when I want to take their picture. They do not have to have them to sleep. They just enjoy them after being fed.

5. Both are taking 3.5 oz at each feeding. They eat every 3 hours during the day, but at night they can go from their last feeding at 9:00 to around 2:00 am. Amelia always wakes me up for this, but Adalyn continues to sleep. I feed her while she is sleeping, just so I do not have to wake up and hour later to feed her.

6. They are taking 60% milk and 40% formula. I cannot keep up with their stack feeding in the evening.

7. I recently explored their closet and they have some of the cutest 3 month clothes! Can't wait to dress them up. However, they are not really that happy when I put a headband on them. After a few seconds of fussing, they accept.

8. Day naps are a breeze. Falling asleep at night has become quite the chore. If we miss the window of opportunity it isn't pretty. They love routine and thrive on it!

9. Awake time is increasing each day. We attempt tummy time, which is hated by Amelia but approved by Adalyn. Adalyn loves the swing more than Amelia. They each have their own personalities and that is coming out. Jayden is becoming more accepting to the "babies" but still doesn't care for him. He will help out by giving us their wubbanubs when needed but also enjoys knocking over their empty bottles. I guess it is his way of telling us to clean up after them or he will!

10. It has been a wild month with the twins. We have ventured out into public a few times and get stopped around 5 times or more each trip. Everyone cannot believe how much they look alike and how little they are! I get the same questions and comments each time:

----Oh my gosh, two babies? Yes, there are two of them.

----A boy and a girl? No, two girls.

----Identical? Yes.

---What are their names? Adalyn and Amelia

---How do you tell them apart they look so much a like? Adalyn has more hair and is bigger.

---Wow, you've got your hands full--Yes, but it is much better than empty.
