5 days new

Our sweet girls are 5 days new! We spent the day traveling between the girls, getting some rest, and adventuring out to Wal-Mart. Pretty exciting day!
Adalyn's feeding schedule is before Amelia's, so we stop at St. John's first on each of our adventures. The nurses there are so nice and are doing a great job of taking care of Adalyn. Tomorrow is a big day for her. She gets to move to an open crib. I packed up a bag of clothes for her tonight to wear for the next few days. No more ugly white shirts. It is time for pink!!
Sweet girl is taking between 40 and 50 cc of milk and loves it. She hasn't had any spells for a few days now and is putting on the weight. Somebody, no names mentioned, is a sucker for a little girl in pink...well, actually two girls in pink. I don't think Aaron can get enough of his little princesses. I can't either!
Sweet pea Amelia was passed out sleeping when we arrived. She just reminds me so much of Jayden who we are missing like crazy right now. He is spending time with his Nana in Mt. Carmel and visiting everyone down there for the week. I am sure he misses us too, but I know he is safe and being well taken care of, so it makes his absence a little easier to handle. Pictures from his Nana also help. Thank the Lord for technology which is surrounding all three of our babies right now.
Little Amelia is always a tired little girl when we are there to visit because she is growing. She has been doing well the past few days too. If we could get her to keep her body temperature up, that would be a step in the right direction. She isn't on any IV feedings or anything else. We just need her to gain weight and stay warm!

Amelia is eating around 40cc of milk at each feeding and is allowed to have more if she wants it. Her weight gain continues and we want her to keep moving in a positive direction.
I couldn't resist the bows today. I know they are giant, but it is all we have and they are so small! I've got to say, we have the prettiest girls in the NICU at both places even when they are dressed in all white. There is no doubt about that!!

Keep growing, sweet girl and sweet pea. We are hoping to have you home by the weekend. Fingers are crossed, thoughts are positive, and we are ready to come get you as soon as the orders are written and the phone rings.

Thank you again friends, family, and even strangers who are keeping the girls in their thoughts and prayers. We are so blessed to have so many people thinking of our family. It just amazes me!
